...Continued...

Here I'm running 8 dogs, the trail is only about 8 feet wide and she's
standing in it. I had no choice, the dogs were pulling so I gave th
command.........ON BY........
Thank god I
had Outlaw upfront because to my surprise we were passing, he was passing.
No sooner did the thought
enter my head, and I was thinking.........Wow, well this isn't so bad,
EVERYTHING CHANGED! Just as my wheel
dogs were approaching the horse and most of the team was past, the horse
rose up, pawed at the air and let
out this incredibly loud deep, screeching noise.
The dogs spun around like a rocket and now my leaders were
standing behind him. I screamed NO! And the next thing I saw will stay with
me for the rest of my life.
The horse began bucking, kicking franticly and then stumping his feet in a
circle.  His rider had his reins drawn right up to his bit And was holding on to
him tightly, I left the platform, ran towards my leaders to
pull them back And as I stepped down there was the horse standing in the
middle of my line stumping! I grabbed the leaders pulled them back, yelled at
the women "let go of him", And the horse knocked me down.
He then began jumping back And forth on each side of my line kicking as he
did so.  He hit me in the back of the head as he was jumping And then I saw
him kick Kia across the trail.   She looked like  a sling shot And
bouncing as far as her neck line would allow
and then was propelled back to the main line.
I yelled again "let go of the horse."   You can see the fear in the horses eyes.
He had no where to go, no way to get out
of the situation.   As I tried to get to my feet I saw him once again standing
over my line stumping his feet
only this time Mayhem was balled up underneath him And she began
screaming.   Suddenly Primus came out of no
where And he And Havok immediately started jumping at the back of the
horse.   Mayhem was still  balled up on
the ground.   It was at this point something snapped inside me.

The fear was immediately replaced with anger And I leaned over while still
laying on the ground And kicked the women holding the horse.
She fell to the ground And the horse took off like a shot down the trail.   As I
watched him running I was afraid
to look at the team. I remember thinking Becki get up, the team isn't snubbed.
But I couldn't. I was absolutely unable to stand. My legs were shaking so
badly that I couldn't get them under me.
I knelt down and grabbed the
team as they started screaming And pulling forward.
Thats when I saw Quoia.   There was such a knot of tug
lines that shes was completely wrapped up in it.
As the dogs pulled forward her head was being pulled and
they were choking her.  I grabbed the team threw them around a tree And
pulled out my knife to cut the
lines. I managed to unwrap her quickly And thats when I saw once Quoia's
head was free it created tension on
Kia And she was being pulled in half And was blue with her mouth open.   I
used the knife to cut the lines away
from her And once free she started heading down the trail in the same
direction as the horse, but also where the truck was. I yelled for her to come
back And she stopped, starred at me for a moment
( I can only imagine what she was thinking) and then headed back towards
me.   I turned my focus back to the team, I
knelt down again And thats when I heard the voice...." Are you all Ok"
the women rider was still there,
I didn't know what to say, she asked again " is everyone ok, can I help? "
I looked up at her And just said "Please, Please just get away from me"
She looked puzzled And I told her "  Please just go, there is
nothing you can do to help me And theres nothing nice that I can say to you,
You should just go".
I looked up towards the front of the line And Mayhem was still on the ground,
as I went to her she began making a
very odd noise, a cry type noise that in 4 years I had never heard her make.
The women asked" is she ok" I didn't have an answer. " I don't know, I've
never heard that noise before, she's still on the ground And I
need to get back to the truck.......if we can get back to the truck".
I looked up And that when I saw them,
There was the women's husband, he had caught the horse And dismounted his
own, he was heading straight
towards us with both horses on each side of him.  I yelled. " Oh my god, what
are you people doing." I looked at the women And told her to get away from
us, And stop him.   She ran down the trail and the dogs
started screaming. I quickly snubbed them And wait for what felt like a life
time.   I pulled myself together,
settled down And eventually got back on the rig.
Still shaking like a leaf, I pulled the snubbed line and
remember thinking........... Please let them all be ok.
I had no idea who else had been kicked or who was hurt.
As the snub line sprung free the entire team leaped forward And we headed
back to the tuck.
To my surprise we all made it back the 5 miles to the truck.
